Harmony House was conceived as a reflection of that connection: a space designed to nurture well-being, embrace natural energy, and exist in thoughtful dialogue with its environment.“
The legacy of the Chorotega culture resonates throughout this residence, grounding the space in Costa Rica’s rich heritage and artisanal traditions.
From the moment of arrival, ocean breezes, warm sunsets, and the essence of Pura Vida shape an atmosphere designed for calmness, connection, and intentional living.
Natural materials such as stone, wood, woven textures, and earthy finishes were carefully layered throughout the interiors to create a timeless and authentic environment. Light plays a defining role within the design, interacting through reflections and indirect illumination to transform the mood of each space throughout the day. Inspired by the warmth of sunset light, the residence was designed to feel soft, cinematic, and deeply welcoming.
Organic forms inspired by seashells and the fluidity of the ocean are reflected in sculptural elements across the home. Custom mirrors reference pre-Columbian artistry and ancestral craftsmanship, creating a subtle dialogue between contemporary design and Costa Rica’s rich cultural identity. Every detail was intentionally selected to create spaces that feel grounded, refined, and emotionally connected to their environment.
Each space was designed to capture a different atmosphere of Costa Rica’s landscape. Earthy tones inspired by traditional ceramics, deep ocean blues, tropical greenery, sandy textures, and handcrafted details immerse the interiors in the colors and sensations of the country’s natural environment. Social areas balance warmth and sophistication, creating spaces designed for gathering, slowing down, and meaningful connection.
