Nestled along Costa Rica’s Pacific coastline, the residence draws its identity from the natural rhythms of the ocean and the landscapes that surround it. Rather than creating a separation between architecture and environment, the design embraces both as part of a single experience, where indoor and outdoor living flow effortlessly together.
The villa takes its name from the guayacán tree, a beloved symbol of Guanacaste known for its spectacular yellow bloom during the dry season. Brief, vibrant, and deeply rooted in its environment, the guayacán reveals its beauty only when the conditions are right. There is something in that image that resonates deeply with the philosophy behind this home: a beauty that is grounded, authentic, and revealed over time.
Inspired by the textures, movement, and organic forms of the coast, the interior design celebrates natural materials and artisanal craftsmanship. Weathered wood, natural stone, woven fibers, and sculptural elements inspired by marine life create a layered environment that feels both refined and deeply connected to its setting.
