SENS INTERIOR DESIGN

SENS Interior Design was founded in 2008 by the current managing designers, Mariamalia García and Raquel Fischel. Inspired by their previous experience in hospitality projects while working for a well-known firm, they set out to create a company capable of managing a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, and hospitality.

The firm’s design philosophy is to seek and create unforgettable experiences in every project, emphasizing both the creative process and the relationships built with the project team. Rather than defining a single aesthetic, each project is custom-designed to reflect the client’s desires, enhanced by authenticity through thoughtful research of the space, culture, history, and surrounding community.

Known for their simple, clean, and beautiful designs, infused with natural elements and fresh, colorful accents, SENS has also engaged in social responsibility initiatives over the past year with various communities in Costa Rica. The founders believe in the power of design to improve the lives of those with fewer opportunities.

As part of a collaborative effort with artists and private companies, they have worked to develop local artistic talent, partnering with communities to create unique furniture and art pieces for hotels, retail spaces, design companies, and tourists. The goal is to empower individuals to become artists, fostering not only long-term economic development but also self-esteem and recognition within their communities.
